Now, I am not an Amazon fan (I kind of dislike Amazon) but they just earned a whole lot of goodwill and love from me by rescuing one of my favorites shows. Now the good news: on May 25th Jeff Bezos himself announced the show was saved and will continue on Amazon Video. Their vocal efforts rescued the show by showing passion and interest (two things networks listen to). Remember when I spoke about what it means to be a fan and how they saved Doctor Who from oblivion? Once again, fandom did not let me down. The fans voiced their displeasure and started writing campaigns to save the show. I could not help but feel guilty as I usually viewed the show once the season was available on DVD.Īnd then, something magical happened. Indeed, it is the best Sci-Fi show you should be watching. The Expanse is easily the best show you are probably not watching. Namely, hard science fiction with a touch of political intrigue. Moreover, it showcases something we hardly see on television. The Expanse intertwines several different storylines. After watching the season finale, I worked my way back to the first two seasons. It was not until it was nominated for the Hugo for short dramatic presentation when I became aware of it. Once the show first came out in SyFy, it bypassed me.
